AiGotchi Labs ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially children. This document details how we collect, use, and protect information through the AiGotchi mobile application and the associated website (aigotchi.eu).

Our service is designed to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and international guidelines for children's online protection, such as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

AiGotchi follows the "Privacy by Design" principle, meaning we only process data that is technically essential for the service to function:

4. Artificial Intelligence and Conversations

One of the central elements of AiGotchi is artificial intelligence-based interaction.

  • Textual content of conversations is transmitted encrypted for processing.
  • Safety Filtering: All messages are checked by an automated filtering system to prevent the appearance of inappropriate content.
  • Conversation content is not linked to real-world identities for advertising purposes.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

We store data only as long as the user account is active or as necessary to provide the service. Parents or users may request the deletion of data at any time in the settings or by emailing hello@aigotchi.eu. All associated data will be permanently deleted within 30 days of the request.

We employ industry-standard security measures (SSL encryption, restricted server access) to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or deletion.

7. Disclosure to Third Parties

We never sell user data to third parties. We only use trusted technical service providers (e.g., Firebase for data storage, Google Analytics for anonymous measurement) who comply with the strictest data protection requirements.
